One of the escorts attached to the Speaker of the House of the Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila just shot a newspaper vendor at the Federal Secretariat, Shehu Shagari Way, Abuja.
Eye witnesses identified the convoy as the Speaker, but yet to be confirmed.
The vendor in their usual manner was hailing the speaker at a traffic with his colleagues when the security operative pulled out his pistol and fired one of the vendors on the head leaving his brains scattered on the road.
However, it is not certain if the culprit is a police or operative of the Department of the State Security Service (DSS) as the convoy zoomed off after the shooting.
But the men of the Nigeria Police at Federal Secretariat Division immediately rushed the victim to an undisclosed hospital.
