Matthew 6:1-2,5,16,18 KJV
[1] Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. [2] Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. [5] And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are : for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. [16] Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. [18] That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.”
God is more interested in who you are in secret than who you are before people. This is talking about who the real you is and who God in turn recognizes and rewards. Who God sees you to be in secret is who He wants to associate with or disassociate from. People waste or spend so much time trying to portray or be who they are not instead of working on themselves to align with who God wants them to be. Examine yourself in the light of this truth and repent urgently where necessary. It will save you a lot and bless you big time. Who people see might not be the real you but God knows you in side out. Why then trying to be who you are not instead of who you are?
Never ever again try to impress people in acting who God knows you are not. Some people even are ready to swear deceitfully for people to believe or recognize them. What about God who knows you are not being true? It is time to confess this attitude to God and stop it. The scripture says if you yet please men, you cannot be servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10. Henceforth stop seeking to please men but Christ Who has called you. Him only should you seek to please in spirit and in truth. Our human nature have the tendency to miss it in this wise if we are not careful. God is calling us to repentance in anyway this has affected us. Be restored by God as you take this very serious.
God checks out motives more than action. People see things from the surface but God does from the inside. Some people you see out there are masquerades. Their real self is inside. There is a saying that you never know a person until you give him or her power. Your real stuff will manifest the moment you get certain things or position. It also suggests why God has not given certain things to certain people. He is waiting for them until they are broken or realize this truth and deal with it. Authority without humility can humiliate a person.
God doesn’t want you to judge by outward look. 2 Corinthians 10:7 KJV
[7] Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? ….” This is not totally to undermine outward look but the truth. Here is another hypocrisy which God hates.
Matthew 15:8,11,16-20 KJV
[8] This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. [11] Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. [16] And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? [17] Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? [18] But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. [19] For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: [20] These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.”
Take time to know the real you as God sees you if you you want to walk with Him. Do not conclude who people are by what you see in the outer either. There is more to what you don’t see compared to what you see with naked eyes. Very important to get it right with the God who searches the heart if you don’t want to be disappointed.
1 Chronicles 28:9 KJV
[9] And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.”
Here is how to seek God and find Him. Learn something deep from this message. I was given a very serious revelation and woken up very early this morning to share this message to save many and to bless them. We are all students of God and disciples of Christ who in humility should continue to repent and learn as none is perfect yet. A lot of mistakes sometimes are made in the journey of life that can be avoided if one is humble enough to learn quickly. Be careful with messages that only motivate you but don’t correct you. Nobody is without mistake except Christ. But turning your mistake to a ‘cake’ is the big issue.
God searches your heart more than anything you are doing. Watch it! Men may celebrate you because they don’t know who you are in the secret. God created you naked and you will leave this earth naked. See that you are naked before Him if you want Him to clothe you with His glory and power. Transparency before God is super. May God not denounce and bounce you for announcing yourself before men for selfish recognition. It is pride. Always remember God knows who you are in secret. True and lasting promotion doesn’t come from man at all. So why the unnecessary display for you to be seen and known? These things shared are why God’s glory and power for people don’t manifest and why people suffer certain things. Realize that what is popular many at times don’t impress God. Stop swearing deceitfully or seeking to impress people. The Lord is not carried. Humility is the trigger of authority. Many may not make Heaven but determine to be in the number, day by day. Have a most wonderful blessed day. Jesus is coming now. Repent and live ready!
PRAYER: Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, I confess and repent in anyway I have sinned or missed it as I am indicted through this message. Forgive me in anyway I erred in word or action, spiritually or physically trying to project who I am not in secret when you know me well. Let your mercy reign over every form of judgement. I cancel and denounce any projection of who I am not before you in secret. There is no cover up before you and so I come nakedly to You to be forgiven, restored, healed and blessed to your glory. Henceforth by Your grace, I am a changed person and will seek to please you not men and be who you want me to be in Jesus mighty name. Thank You Father.
