Beyond Knowing Your Talents

By Tiana Owolabi

I learnt about TALENT on Sunday and I decided to share the lessons I gained from the sermon with you today because it was helpful to me.
We all might have been familiar with the definition of Talent as a natural ability of an individual. It is inborn.

You don’t need to struggle with yourself to know it because it is something you were born with. But do you know that there is more to it? Take a seat , read and relax as we talk about developing your talents.
Discover your talent- It should be noted that You can’t develop your talent without discovering it.

You DISCOVER before you Develop it. Is it SINGING, DANCING, TALKING, SELLING etc? These and many more can be discovered.
Seek God in prayers- There are even someone innate abilities that are hidden, apart from the ones that can be easily noticed by friends, families, church members etc. You need to dig deep before you can recover them. You can dig deep by praying to God to know more about what He has given unto you.

Have faith in God that He will help you use it diligently according to His will. No wonder His words say, “whatever you do, whether you eat or drink, do it all for God’s glory”. Trust God to help you maximize the abilities He has given unto you so that you won’t be cultivating on another person’s farmland, meaning that you are focused on your lane.

Practise it (put it into use). Whatever abilities you have been given is not just for you alone. You have been given such abilities to impact lives.

Don’t be afraid to practice or work on it. The more you practice, the more you become better.
Note that it is what you practice that becomes part of you.

Transfer your knowledge to others. Teach others what you have acquired through your talent. Don’t just hoard it to yourself alone.

Beyond your talent, maximise it well.
Thanks for reading through. I hope you got value from this? Let me hear from you via the comment section, please.
Have a productive week ahead. Be Motivated.
