WTO: Why I support Okonjo-Iweala for DG position

NIGERIA’s President, Muhammadu has reiterated his support to elect former Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala as the Director General, World Trade Organization, WTO.

In his social media handle on Tuesday, President Buhari assured that he will continue to seek support of world leaders towards electing Okonjo-Iweala for the position saying she deserves the job.

“We will do all that we can to ensure that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala emerges as the Director-General of the WTO. She deserves this.

“I will continue to seek support from world leaders on her behalf. Whatever phone calls need to be made, whatever letters need to be sent, I will do it”, Buhari said.
