Ondo: APC, Akeredolu beat Jegede, others, returned elected

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Rotimi Akeredolu has been declared a winner of the Ondo governorship election of 10 September, 2020.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Returning Officer, Prof Idowu Olayinka, declared Akeredolu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) winner with 292,830.

Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Eyitayo Jegede polled 195,791 while Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) scored 69,127 votes.

Akeredolu, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria is the incumbent governor of Ondo State.
