Minister okays school reopening in FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Muhammad Bello, has announced that schools in Abuja will reopen on Sunday, October 11th.

In his outline, boarding schools will reopen to students on Sunday while academic activities will begin on Monday.

Bello made this known while briefing journalists in Abuja, on Thursday.

He added that updated guidelines will soon be released and the academic calendar will cover the third term that was left due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

He also revealed that the FCT did not record any case during the reopening of schools for exit classes.

The Minister expressed optimism that officials and pupils will ensure compliance with COVID-19 protocols once the schools reopen.
