SENATE: I will do the needful’, Buhari on Service-chiefs

THE Presidency has reacted to the resolution of the Senate demanding the Service Chiefs to resign or be fired on account of unending security challenges in the country.

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media and Publicity) while acknowledging the resolution of the upper chamber of the National Assembly on Tuesday said that the Presidency has noted the resolution and that President Muhammadu Buhari as the overall boss to the Service chiefs will always do the needful.

Nonetheless, the Presidency emphasized that appointment or sack of Service Chiefs is a Presidential prerogative, and President Muhammadu Buhari, in his capacity as Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, will do what is in the best interest of the country at all times.
