PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the last election, Prof Kingsley Moghalu has described the appointment of Prof Ibrahim Gambari as the new Chief of Staff as a laudable action by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Moghalu expressed optimism that by the positive action, improvement in the performance of the presidency is hopeful on account of profile and experiences of the new right-hand man to the President.
“I congratulate Prof (Amb) Ibrahim Gambari on his appointment as new Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
“With this appointment, Mr. President has made an excellent decision that we can only hope, for Nigeria’s sake, will bring a marked improvement to the performance of his presidency”, Moghalu stated.
In similar vein, the Dean, Faculty of Law, Kwara State University (KWASU), Prof. Abiodun Amuda-Kannike (SAN) has described and likened Prof Ibrahim Gambari’s appointment as Chief of Staff to President Buhari as putting a square peg in a square hole.
Prof Amuda-Kannike explained that the new Chief of Staff is well respected in Kwara state and in the country on account of his impeccable qualities, and has always produced positive results in all tasks given to him both when he was Ambassador and other positions.
“I commend President Muhammadu Buhari for the astute appointment of Prof Ibrahim Gambari as the new Chief of Staff which will bring improvement in the presidency.
“By his enviable profile, I have no doubt that Prof Ibrahim Gambari who was a former Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete is equal to the tasks and will perform and deliver beyond expectations”, Amuda-Kannike said.
Amuda-Kannike stated that Prof Gambari during his tenure as Chancellor of Kwara State University contributed immensely to the progress the university is known with up till now.
The legal luminary while wishing him well as he continues to make contributions to the progress of the country added that he has confidence that Prof Gambari will deliver on the big tasks the President has assigned to him.
