NBA Swears-In New National President, Mahmoud

NIGERIAN Bar Association (NBA), on Friday rounded off its 56th Annual General meeting in Port Harcourt with the swearing-in its new National President, Abubakar Balarabe Mahmoud (SAN) to office.
The swearing-in ceremony performed by the immediate past president of the association, Mr. Austine Alegeh (SAN) was witnessed by the Governors of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, his Sokoto State counterpart, Aminu Tambawal, the ex- governor of Kano State, Musa Kwakwanso and several other dignitaries….

In his acceptance speech, the new NBA president commended the outgoing executive members led by Alegeh, for his laudable performance particularly the universal e-voting introduced into the association as well as the general assembly for the confidence in him.
Mahmoud also pledged to use his wealth of experiences to move the association to greater heights, however sought for the cooperation of members adding that the challenges facing the association are enormous but surmountable.
